You would think that Thorndon would have a lot of stylish modern one bedroom apartments. After all, it's a few minutes walk to New Zealand's Parliament and Thorndon is comprehensively the countries' government department and Justice area. Supreme court, High court, Victoria School of law etc etc. Embassies everywhere you look. But this is not the case! For various reasons, good apartments are rare in Thorndon. New apartments nearby will be ready in the next year if you can wait for resales ( last sale of a 50 m2 one bedroom off plans was $485,000, a few uncovered parks sold there for $80,000). Or you could buy this delightful Summit apartment: ready for immediate occupation. Secure park. The building is only 13 years old. Ownership is so tightly held: they rarely become available. The current owner has loved living here and it's likely you will. Late sun spills into the west facing unit. New World is a three minute walk away. The motorway to escape out of the city is only one minute's drive. Thorndon tennis club and the gorgeous Thorndon summer pool are both nearby, as is the excellent Bridge club. The 9th floor of the Beehive: probably 7 minutes walk.... Whatever your reason for looking for something like this, I am confident there is nothing else available as good.
