About Katie Underwood
I’ve been involved in the property market for some years as a home owner, investor and vendor. Buying a new house or selling your existing home can be a very stressful experience. My experience and passion for good service is paramount to making it as stress free as possible for you.
I work from the Ray White City office and am supported by a top team of sales agents and support staff. Working from this office gives me the chance to serve city and suburban clients.
I believe in keeping my clients, whether they be vendor or buyer, fully informed, from start to finish so there are no surprises.
My working background includes Risk Management, computer software and education sales, health marketing and conservation of New Zealand’s biodiversity. I have a BA in Geography from Victoria University and a Post Graduate Diploma - Wildlife Management, from Otago University.
My sales include many satisfied clients who have achieved a premium price by using the Leaders proven sales techniques and systems. Some of their comments, in their own words, are included over the page.
Being involved in the community is important to me so I am a supporter/member of and am involved with Forest and Bird and other conservation organisations, the Life Flight Trust, Zealandia – The Karori Sanctuary Experience, the Brooklyn Residents Association. I am also a collector for The Cancer Society, The Life Flight Trust.
As a Wellingtonian, born and bred, who has returned after stints in London, Dunedin and Masterton over the years, I know this city well and am committed to getting you the best price for your home.

Katie accepted my house sale at very short notice due to unforeseen circumstances and went out of her way to meet tight time constraints and understood the specifics of my house, its’ strong selling points and potential concerns for buyers. She was open and straight forward in her conversations and communicated frequently to keep me up to date. She recognised the difficulty of being an absent vendor and took an exceptional and very much appreciated role in ensuring the property was presented to the standard which I would have wanted myself. In fact she probably exceeded it. She was thorough, considerate, made the whole process particularly easy from start to finish and brought me a very acceptable result not just in the number of tenders but also the quality of them. You do not expect the most difficult part of your house sale to be the choice of your agent, it was that easy. I have no doubts I made the right choice. Pam
“Unlike a lot of agents, Katie took time to familiarise us with the tender documents and explained each paragraph in plain English. She worked diligently, long hours, and was always courteous, professional and very patient. She will definitely be the first agent we call when we’re looking to sell our home.” K & M
“Katie accepted the challenge of selling our home which needed quite a bit of TLC after 25 years of busy family living. She was great in the way she picked up the challenge and kept us informed every step of the way. Her mantra “Declutter! Declutter! Declutter!” kept ringing in our ears and her ideas on how to show off our home were spot on. The tender process was perfect for us and the house sold in 22 days. We recommend Katie if you’re looking for someone to sell your home. She was very professional in her approach without going over the top.” S & L
